It is buit to withstand pressures of 30 bars, equivalent to a depth of 300 metres.

In launching the Navitimer watch in 1952, Breitling gave pilots a genuine wrist instrument. The chronograph is endowed with a buit-in "navigation computer", a circular slide rule capable of performing all calculations a flight plan requires. The Navitimer watch became the official watch of the AOPA (Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association) and since then achieved cult object status. In continious production, it remains unchanged in either form or spirit since its launch and is now the world's oldest chronograph.
